As a former editor, art director and at least editor in chief for Backjumps magazine/Fanzine, I had the honor to be responsible for the study of style room for the 20+1 exhibition, that was part of the archive section. it took me 5 full days to oversee the backjumps archive in complete and to select a small amount of mostly unseen works in form of original sketches, written texts and photos. For the presentation of the selection I choose a mix of frames and b/w paper and copys of some strong already in context known images and publishing, to underneath the flavor of time.
I choose unseen stuff from Billy168, Noc167, Kool161, Part1, T-kid170, Kase2, Kase-FBA, Shame126 and many others New yorkers, unpublished written text from Phase2, also unpublished trains from Dondi and lots of other raw diamonds from berlin and the world of writing. To many to line up all the names but putted all together in context, with titles like Inner-city functions or everlasting aesthetics...

another interesting part of the Backjumps 20+1 Exhibition, was the VideoArchiv corner (also inside the Archiv section), 24 hours of unseen material dokumenting the Berlin writing scene spanning from 1991-1996, also called the golden age of Berlin writing. For the Exhibition was a special programm developed that maked it possible to switch between the film easily...
