Arunski&Poet in Ottawa,Canada 2014

Durring the 25th. anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall last year, the Ambassador of Germany in Canada invited Arunski&Poet, together with the Canadian artists Zek and Striker, to perform a unique wall in the backyard of the German embassy, during a German-Canadian Graffiti Jam to celebrate the German-Canadian relationship, in cooperation with Germany in Canada and House of paint...here we go...
the flyer for the German-Canadian Graffiti Jam 2014.
...first view from the hotel at night in Ottawa, it was around -22 degree celsius and frostbite warning...

..it was so cold, that on daytime it was -12 to -14 degree celcius...
Ottawa seemed to be a small city, to consider of a best resolution for a in two language divided country. also the canadian natives are represented...
...but it's also Winterlude, everybody is ice skating on the canal, when the sun comes out..

...construction goes on in the city, no matter the weather. And some housing blocks and malls have bridges to cross, so you dont have to go cross the street...
coming near to the german embassy, europe and german flags are all over the place, but it seemed that no canadian have a problem with it..
...and we had luck with the weather on the day of the jam, only minus 8-10 degree celsius...
...professional getting welcome, already in front of the german embassy..(how they now it is us?!).
...the event banner in front of the german embassy...
...the entrance of the German embassy in Ottawa...
..of course we brought some presents with us...

..also a set of a Berlin miniature wall artwork by Arunski&Poet...
...the jam in the backyard of the embassy is getting started..
..we painted on wood panels, but couldnt make much effort the first 4 hours during the jam because of the press. everybody wanted to talk with us guests from Berlin, about the wall and the fall 1989..
...also it took a while, to get things fixed on the wood during the cold...

...it seemed that the german/canadian community in Ottawa is quit big and networked..

...I always tryed to figure out, who is a russian undercover spy..lol

..it was a great day and even greater experience...it was really a family event, even there were only 5 of us down with hiphop, it doesnt matter that day. People wanted to check out and celebrate...
canadian writers Zek and Striker getting busy on their wall, their also came up with a bavarian girl holding some beers infront of their painted berlinwall, ..
...the local press in form of Ottawa Citizens and the chief of Deutsche Welle TV/north america, argue and discuss about who get the next 2 minutes with us..

...also thanks to the all the sponsors making this happen, in particular Belton-Molotow for the paint...
...when it was getting dark, it went minus 14-16 degree celsius and some cans outside get frozen fast, if not touched. Mike, from House of paint, giving Zek and Striker a helping hand to finish earlier.

Arunski, with his part on the right, given the mural the final touch...
...the quote: "But, i really love all Humans" was part of the last history-charged speach of the former GDR Stasi (secret-state-police) chief Erich Mielke, who was in charge of 200.000 undercover informer or stoolie...
..the finish Berlin, on the left side of the wall by Poet..

The finish walls are finally displayed at the Diefenbunker Museum in Ottawa, 2014

waiting at Chin Radio Ottawa, for the biggest german speaking show in Canada. One hour with Arunski&Poet hosted by Myka Burke, before we hit back to Berlin.
